Founded as a public charter school in 1998 by Dr. Allen Beck, Advantage Academy is operated by Eagle Advantage Schools, Inc. a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization. Advantage Academy began in 1998 with 60 students and currently has over 2,000 students and four campuses. Our Academic Division uses a brain-based instruction curriculum that incorporates a 5-step learning process based on state objectives at all grade levels in all core subject areas. Our teachers are fluent in our system and are degreed and state certified.
Although we are considered a public school, as a charter school we have the freedom to be more innovative in our instruction and educational techniques. Charter schools are accountable for improved student achievement. In addition, as an open enrollment public charter school there are no tuition fees. We are state accredited; offer career and technology training; online high school courses; including AP, dual credit with local colleges; fine arts; sports and much more.
Dr. Beck incorporated the following seven pillars or principles that we as an educational institute strive to instill in our students.

The seven stars above the eagle head of our brand represent these “Seven Pillars of a Champion.”
We believe Abraham Lincoln is the ultimate role model for our students. Abraham Lincoln represents the qualities that helped to establish our great nation. Our students are encouraged to emulate his leadership qualities, moral character and determination, as well as a strong work ethic and hope in their future. All of his qualities reinforce our principles and when followed complete our motto: “Building Champions with a Future and a Hope.”
