Heart & Home Mentoring

Heart & Home began their mentoring program “Partnering Pals,” led by Founder & Director Sonja Zielke, the Spring of 2010 and mentored 14 Advantage Academy-North Duncanville children with great success. The program continued and a chapter was also established at our Waxahachie campus in 2011. Students are referred by their teachers and permission must be granted by the parent or guardian. Mentors meet with the student normally on a weekly or bi-weekly basis at the child’s campus. Mentors and parents are encouraged to work together to help the child wherever there is a need. Christmas parties and end-of-the-year parties for the student, mentor and the child’s entire family with food, prizes, games, fun and more are also provided to help establish a relationship between the home and mentor.
Partnering Pals is in need of more caring adult male and female mentors for continued growth and success.
