There has never been a more exciting time to join Advantage Academy. We will have a job fair at our new administration and training center @ 618 W. Wheatland Rd in Duncanville, TX 75116 for K-12 teacher positions for all 4 campuses. Bring your resume! Click here for directions. We suggest you apply online before arriving at job fair but it is not required.

Rowlett Ribbon Cutting

The Rowlett Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting in honor of Advantage Academy-Rowlett on Tuesday, February 16th. The Chamber brought several of their ambassadors and local business owners to the event. Congratulations to Principal Hiatt and the entire Rowlett campus!
KLTY – Free Parent & Community Event-Dr. Caroline Leaf Speaks at all Campuses

As announced on KLTY 94.9, Caroline Leaf, Ph.D. a leading neuroscientist, neurometacognitive learning specialist and best-selling author has recently trained all Advantage Academy teachers her Switch On Your Brain 5-Step Learning Process and the metacognitive map. Dr. Leaf has trained over 100,000 students and thousands of teachers her learning method. Students average a 35-75% increase in learning capacity by using her brain-based method. Monday, September 28th, 2009Advantage Academy’s Administration, training and testing center has moved into our newly remodeled offices. We had over 100 attendees for our open house and ribbon cutting. Superintendent, Dr. Allen Beck, Dr. Caroline Leaf from Switch on Your Brain and David Dunn, Director of the Texas Charter School Association spoke at the event. Everyone is welcome to tour our new facility! Come by and see the beautiful mosaic of Abraham Lincoln and more! We are located at 618 W. Wheatland Rd in Duncanville, TX near the corner of Wheatland Rd and Cedar Ridge.

Ron Anderson - Lincoln Historian and Author
Ron Anderson an Abraham Lincoln historian gave a 2 hour presentation to all Advantage Academy teachers during staff development on September 25th. It was an awesome presentation and many stories were told about Lincoln’s character and integrity. President Lincoln continually displayed the 7 pillars we encourage here at Advantage Academy.
