Advantage Academy has adopted a Flex Year Program for our 2010-2011 school year in order to better serve our students and their individual needs.

Dr. Caroline Leaf is a neuroscientist, author, international speaker and educator.  Dr. Leaf has trained over 100,000 students and educators her 5-Step Learning process, which is currently being used at all Advantage Academy campuses at all grade levels.  We have already seen improved student retention and learning in only a few short months of using her system!  

Dr. Leaf will have a free 2 hour informational session  for administrators in education and teachers on her “Switch On Your Brain”  educational system.  This event will be held on Friday, July 30th 9:30-11:30 am at Advantage Academy’s Lincoln Training Center located at 618 W. Wheatland Rd. New student applications are now being accepted for this school year and the 2010-2011 school year.  Please contact your desired campus to determine if openings are available for your child’s grade level.  Campuses and grade levels fill up fast so don’t wait to enroll your child.  Please go to the new student enrollment tab to download enrollment forms.

The Rowlett Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting in honor of Advantage Academy-Rowlett on Tuesday, February 16th.  The Chamber brought several of their ambassadors and local business owners to the event.  Congratulations to Principal Hiatt and the entire Rowlett campus!

Ron Anderson - Lincoln Historian and Author

Ron Anderson an Abraham Lincoln historian gave a 2 hour presentation to all Advantage Academy teachers during staff development on September 25th.  It was an awesome presentation and many stories were told about Lincoln’s character and integrity.  President Lincoln continually displayed the 7 pillars we encourage here at Advantage Academy.
